Wei Shao, PhD, MS

Shao

Dr. Shao is an Assistant Professor of Quantitative Health in the Department of Medicine and the Assistant Director of AI Imaging Research at the Intelligent Critical Care Center (IC3) at the University of Florida. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering and his master’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Iowa in 2019. From 2019 to 2022, he completed his postdoctoral training in deep learning for medical imaging in the Department of Radiology at Stanford University. His research focuses on developing and applying mathematical modeling and deep learning methods in medical image analysis to improve patient care.
