Established in July 2022, the goal of the UF MIRTH AI Lab is to develop and apply medical image analysis and deep learning algorithms to advance disease diagnosis and treatment planning. Our lab has developed advanced methods for multi-modal data fusion, cancer detection, and treatment planning. Our work has been published in top-tier journals and conferences in the field, including IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging (IEEE TMI), Medical Image Analysis (MedIA), the International Conference on Medical Image Computing and Computer Assisted Intervention (MICCAI), and the IEEE/CVF Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition Conference (CVPR).
Current lab research projects include: (a) developing artificial intelligence algorithms for early detection of clinically significant prostate cancer in micro-ultrasound images; (b) developing multi-modal data fusion methods for personalized treatment of type B aortic dissections; (c) developing fast diffusion models for 3D and 4D medical image analysis; and (d) developing foundation models for various medical image analysis tasks.
