Dr. Wei Shao’s lab in the Department of Medicine at the University of Florida is seeking several highly motivated research volunteers in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and medical image analysis. The candidate will have the opportunity to develop and apply AI models to solve challenging problems in medical image analysis. The project has the potential for very productive findings in terms of publications and innovative clinical implications.
Required skills
- UF student in computer science, electrical engineering, bioinformatics, or related fields.
- Knowledge of deep learning.
- Experience with Python coding.
- Excellent communication skills.
Desired skills
- Research experience in deep learning and image processing.
- Familiarity with TensorFlow or Pytorch.
Responsibilities
- Conduct literature reviews.
- Data collection, labeling, and preprocessing.
- Develop and implement deep learning models for medical image analysis.
- Present research updates weekly.
- Work for 20 hours a week.
