Dr. Shao’s lab in the Department of Medicine at the University of Florida is seeking a highly creative and motivated postdoctoral researcher in the areas of deep learning and medical image analysis. The candidate will be responsible for developing deep learning methods to solve challenging problems in medical image analysis, for example, image registration, image segmentation, image denoising, image super-resolution, image reconstruction, cancer detection, and image-to-image translation. The successful candidate will have exclusive access to at least 20 NVIDIA A100 GPUs and will work closely with a multidisciplinary team consists of computer scientists, radiologists, pathologists, urologists, and surgeons at the University of Florida, UCLA, and UCSC.
Minimum Requirements
- A PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Bioinformatics, or related fields.
- Research experience in deep learning and image processing.
- Familiar with PyTorch or Tensorflow.
- One first-author publication in renowned conferences or journals in the field.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SimpleITK
- Experience with medical imaging data, e.g., MRI, CT, and ultrasound
- Candidates with experience in diffusion models and image registration are strongly encouraged to apply
